Shippensburg University’s head women’s tennis coach, Dylan Curtis, has announced the addition of four new players to the Raider tennis program for the 2024-25 season. The recruits include high school seniors Jade Miller and Lauren Seip, alongside athletes from other sports, Yasmin De Meyer and Ava Kalist.
Jade Miller, from Lancaster, PA, attended Manheim Township High School where she earned four varsity letters in tennis, contributing to her team’s multiple state appearances and winning league titles.
Lauren Seip, a Harrisburg, PA native, competed at Trinity High School, securing varsity letters and achieving top placements at conference championships in tennis.
Yasmin De Meyer, hailing from Pietermaritzburg, South Africa, has a background in multiple sports, including tennis and field hockey. She will join the tennis team after completing the field hockey season at Shippensburg.
Ava Kalist, from Chambersburg, PA, has excelled as a professional pickleball player and will bring her competitive experience to the university’s tennis team. She has represented the U.S. in international pickleball competitions and has been recognized in her sport with various awards.
All four athletes are expected to enhance the competitive edge of the Raider tennis team immediately upon joining.
