Asisat Oshoala netted a penalty in the 76th minute to secure a 1-0 victory for Bay FC against Racing Louisville in the National Women’s Soccer League.
The penalty was awarded after Bay FC’s Jordan Bagget fouled Princess Marfo in the box at Lynn Family Stadium, with Oshoala successfully converting the spot-kick as Racing Louisville goalkeeper Katie Lund made the wrong decision.
This was the first penalty awarded to expansion team Bay FC (6-9-0), who have recorded consecutive shutout wins.
Racing Louisville (3-5-7) has now conceded penalties in two consecutive matches.
