INDIANAPOLIS – Three Vandal teams posted perfect four-year NCAA Academic Progress Rate scores of 1000 and 11 of Idaho’s 14 teams improved their overall APR’s or stayed the same for the 2022-23 academic year.
Men’s golf, women’s golf, and women’s cross country posted perfect scores of 1000 for consecutive seasons. Men’s golf has a four-year streak dating back to the 2018-19 school year followed by women’s cross country with six straight from 2016-17 and finally women’s golf with their ninth straight perfect score dating back to the 2013-14 academic year.
Men’s tennis, women’s basketball, women’s soccer, and women’s track and field all posted scores above 990.
Each academic year, every Division I sports team across the country calculates its APR using a simple and consistent formula. Each term, scholarship student-athletes can earn one point for remaining eligible and one point for staying in school or graduating. For schools that do not offer scholarships, recruited student-athletes are tracked.
The Student-Athlete Support Services department has established an essential framework for academic excellence. The program provides measurable goals to ensure schools are fulfilling their commitment of equipping student-athletes with the tools and resources necessary to achieve academic success.
