The headliner of the group is pitcher Jocelyn Allen from Houston, Texas. Allen is a hard-throwing right-hander with a devastating array of pitches. She has been dominant at the high school level, consistently overpowering hitters with her velocity and movement. Allen is a highly sought-after recruit, but ultimately chose Oklahoma for its winning tradition and top-notch facilities. She is expected to step in and compete for a starting spot right away, providing an immediate boost to the Sooners pitching staff.
Joining Allen on the mound is left-handed pitcher Emma Carter from California. Carter is a crafty pitcher with excellent control and a deceptive delivery. She has a knack for keeping hitters off balance and getting outs in key situations. Carter is known for her competitive spirit and work ethic, which will serve her well at the next level. With her skills and determination, she is sure to make an impact for the Sooners in the circle.
In addition to adding depth to the pitching staff, the Sooners have also bolstered their lineup with several talented position players. Outfielder Taylor Liu from Arizona is a dynamic player with a combination of speed and power. Liu is a threat on the base paths, using her quickness to steal bases and score runs. At the plate, she is a contact hitter with gap power, capable of driving in runs and sparking rallies. Liu’s versatility and athleticism make her a valuable asset for the Sooners in the outfield.
Joining Liu in the outfield is Georgia native Allison Taylor. Taylor is a natural athlete with exceptional speed and defensive skills. She covers ground well in the outfield, making difficult plays look routine. Taylor is also a solid hitter with a consistent bat and a good eye at the plate. Her combination of speed and contact hitting will help fuel the Sooners offense and make her a key contributor in the lineup.
Reinforcing the infield is versatile utility player Mia Johnson from Texas. Johnson is a skilled defender with the ability to play multiple positions, including second base, shortstop, and third base. She has soft hands and quick reflexes, making her a reliable fielder at any spot on the diamond. Johnson is also a solid hitter with gap power and the ability to drive in runs. Her defensive prowess and offensive production make her a valuable addition to the Sooners roster.
Rounding out the recruiting class are power-hitting catcher Ava Martinez from Florida, slugging first baseman Grace Kim from California, and infielder/outfielder Emma Wilson from Oklahoma. Martinez is a strong hitter with home run power and a keen eye at the plate. Kim is a powerful presence in the lineup with her ability to drive the ball out of the park. Wilson is a versatile player with the skills to play multiple positions and contribute on offense and defense.
