TROY, N.Y.- The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) athletic department has released the 2024-25 women’s ice hockey schedule. The Engineers will suit up for 34 regular season games this season, including 17 home contests inside Houston Field House.
RPI and Head Coach Bryan Vines will begin the year with a home series against Holy Cross on Reunion & Homecoming Weekend on September 27 and 28. After that, the Engineers will take on Sacred Heart (Oct. 4 and 5) and Syracuse (Oct. 11 and 12) in back-to-back non-conference home/away tilts.
The Engineer’s Blackout game against Dartmouth on October 25 doubles as the start of ECAC Conference action. Following consecutive weekends away in early November, RPI will enjoy a run of nine home contests in a 10-game stretch, with a December 1 meeting at Assumption serving as the only travel for the Engineers across the two-month homestand.
A pair of matchups against rival Union also highlights the Engineer’s calendar. RPI will welcome local-area schools for a Kids Day meeting against the Garnet Chargers at 11am on November 26, followed by the annual Mayor’s Cup game versus Union in the MVP Arena on January 25.
“We’re excited to get the 2024-25 season underway,” said Bryan Vines. “Our non-conference schedule will provide great preparation for what promises to be another challenging ECAC league schedule featuring top national teams.
