The 2024 Women’s College World Series is currently taking place in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Initially starting with a field of 64 teams in the 2024 NCAA Softball Tournament, only eight teams remain in contention for the championship.
These eight teams, ranked by seeding, are: Texas, Oklahoma, Florida, Oklahoma State, UCLA, Stanford, Duke, and Alabama. While all these teams are deserving of praise for making it this far, only one will emerge as the national champion.

Despite not being the top seed, Oklahoma is the favorite to win another championship under coach Patty Gasso’s leadership, aiming for a historic fourth consecutive win in college softball. Texas, the top overall seed, is also a strong contender after defeating Oklahoma in the regular season.
Stanford’s pitcher NiJaree Canady, the 2024 USA Softball Player of the Year, has been a standout performer leading up to the Women’s College World Series.
While these teams and players will be the focus of the tournament, only one will ultimately claim the championship.
