The Oklahoma Sooners have secured their fourth consecutive Women’s College World Series championship for the fourth straight season.
As the No. 2 seed, the Sooners made history by becoming the first Division I school to achieve four consecutive softball national titles with a sweep over No. 1 Texas.
Oklahoma started strong by defeating Texas 8-3 in Game 1. They continued their dominance in Game 2 with an 8-4 victory, fueled by an early offensive show led by Kasidi Pickering’s home run to left field in the second inning. The Sooners maintained their offensive prowess, scoring three runs in the sixth inning to secure the championship win.
