The Matildas have begun their preparations for the 2024 Olympics with a routine friendly victory over Mexico.
Goals from Hayley Raso in the first half and Caitlin Foord shortly after halftime secured a comfortable 2-0 win at Toyota Field in San Antonio, Texas.
Following this, they played a two-match friendly series against China – their last games before the Paris Olympics. The first match ended in a disappointing 1-1 draw, but they bounced back with a much-improved 2-0 win in Sydney.

When is the Matildas’ upcoming game?
The Matildas’ next match will be a warm-up game against Canada in preparation for the Olympics, to be held in Marbella, Spain.
The game will be played under ‘International B’ conditions, which means it won’t be open to the public. However, Australian fans can catch the action on Paramount+.
Australia faced Canada three times last year, defeating them convincingly 4-0 in a crucial World Cup match in August, but suffering two tough losses in friendly matches in December.
