Oklahoma State University’s women’s golf program is excited to announce Annie Young as the new assistant coach, confirmed by head coach Greg Robertson today. With 15 years of coaching experience, Young, a well-respected figure in collegiate golf, is returning to her alma mater.
“We are thrilled to have Annie back in Stillwater,” Coach Robertson stated. “Her impressive background as an All-American player and extensive coaching career make her a valuable asset to our team. Annie’s previous success at Tulsa and elsewhere demonstrates her dedication to excellence, and I am confident she will greatly contribute to the advancement of our program.”
Young, a former Cowgirl player from 2001 to 2005 and head coach of Cowgirl Golf from 2008 to 2011, rejoins Oklahoma State after a successful six-year tenure as head coach of Tulsa women’s golf.
“I am honored and excited to be back at Oklahoma State,” Young expressed. “Coaching at the university where I played collegiate golf and began my coaching journey is a dream come true. I am looking forward to working alongside Coach Robertson and Coach Maddi Swaney to further enhance the success of our program.”
During her time at Tulsa, Young’s leadership led the Golden Hurricane to great heights, including consecutive NCAA Championship appearances and multiple conference titles. Her accomplishments earned her the title of 2024 American Athletic Conference Coach of the Year.
Young also guided OSU’s women’s golf team to significant victories and helped numerous players achieve success at the professional level, with appearances in major championships and even the Olympic Games.
