ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State Women’s Hockey has revealed its full schedule for the 2024-25 season, which includes three series against nonconference opponents. The upcoming season will see the Huskies face off against Lindenwood (Mo.), Mercyhurst (Pa.), and Union (N.Y.), all of whom they have previously played in the 2023-24 season. Additionally, St. Cloud State will have an exhibition game against Manitoba on Saturday, Sept. 28 at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center to start their home matches.
The schedule consists of 34 games, with 16 regular season games scheduled to take place at the Brooks Center. Sixteen of these games will be against opponents who were nationally ranked at the end of the 2023-24 season, with an additional four games against teams that received votes.
The Huskies will continue their tradition of facing Lindenwood on Sept. 20-21, with this year’s games taking place in St. Charles, Mo. Following this, Mercyhurst will visit St. Cloud on Oct. 4-5, after St. Cloud State traveled to Erie, Pa. last season. Finally, the team will travel to Schenectady, N.Y. on Nov. 29-30 to play Union on their home ice for the first time ever.
In addition to the nonconference games, the Huskies will also play WCHA series against a number of opponents at the Brooks Center, with home-and-home games against St. Thomas and Minnesota already announced.
The WCHA Tournament will begin after the regular season, with all eight league teams advancing to the First Round. The top four seeds will host best-of-three quarterfinal series, with the winners advancing to the WCHA Final Faceoff in Duluth, Minn.
