CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – The Coastal Carolina University women’s golf team had a trio of student-athletes named 2023-24 Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-America Scholars, it was announced Monday afternoon.
Graduate student Hannah Karg, senior Luisa Gibson and junior Isabella Spinazze were 2023-24 honorees, with Gibson and Spinazze receiving the award for the second consecutive season.
The Chanticleers have had a total of 66 student-athletes receive the honor since 2004, led by the 2013 and 2017 seasons with a team-record five student-athletes receiving the academic honor.
The WGCA All-America Scholars had a total of 1,497 women’s collegiate golfers representing 412 programs recognized for the honor. To be selected for the All-America Scholar Team, golfers must have a minimum GPA of 3.50, be an amateur on the team’s roster through the conclusion of the season, and have played in 50 percent of the program’s regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year.
