BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech women’s tennis welcomed Megan Forster as their new assistant coach, as announced on Tuesday.
Forster, a former player at Colorado and North Florida, joins the program in Blacksburg after serving as a women’s tennis student assistant coach and men’s tennis director of operations for the Ospreys.
In her recent roles, the London, England native assisted in various aspects including planning and managing tennis and conditioning sessions, organizing community events, ensuring NCAA compliance, handling marketing and social media outreach, and stringing rackets for the women’s team. Additionally, Forster helped with travel arrangements for the men’s program.
During the 2023 season, Forster was part of North Florida’s ASUN regular season and tournament champion team.
At Colorado, Forster earned two All-Pac-12 honorable mentions in 2021 and 2022, and played as high as No. 2 in the Buffaloes’ lineup.
Throughout her career, Forster was an ITA Scholar-Athlete from her sophomore year onwards and obtained a Master’s in Communication Management from North Florida, where she graduated with the highest GPA in the program. She also served as team captain and Student-Athlete Advisory Committee representative at Colorado.
